Weight gain in women with GDM increases risk of complicated births

A new study presented March 15, 2018 at the Diabetes UK Professional Conference 2018 in London, UK says that gaining too much weight after diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) increases the risk of complicated births, including a greater risk of cesarean section.
